Irisbus is the in house passenger vehicle bodybuilder for Iveco. The Irisbus version of the Iveco Daily quickly became more popular than the standard Daily when it was introduced with relatively cheap partial conversions. The standard Irisbus interiors were less expensive and took less time than a Daily with a full UK conversion. The Irisbus interior was aesthetically well designed, however was not nearly as robust as a UK conversion and soon showed signs of being poorly fitted with panels continuously squeaking and rattling. This aspect was improved on later models.
The Irisbus is offered in various levels of interiors from basic, partial lining to fully seated coach style vehicles. Walk on access through either a power plug door or a standard slam door at the front or a manually operated sliding side door. The one feature that became particularly popular with local authorities is the flat floor model. This feature eliminated wheelboxes and allowed either a fully seated 17 seater or all seats removed making way for 6 occupied wheelchairs.
Due to the complicated and ever evolving nature of the Irisbus product, accurate information and pricing can be hard to come by. Minibus Options are experts when it comes to understanding these products and we would recommend a consultation with one of our Sales Staff, who are always happy to help, in order for you to find the right vehicle.
