Channel ramps

The cheapest option. One pair of lightweight alloy telescopic ramps are easily stowed to one corner of the saloon. This option is not a solution for frequent or heavy duty use. Weight of occupied wheelchair and strength of attendant must be considered. Should only be considered with front wheel drive models

Hinged folding ramp

The ramp folds in half and stands upright inside the rear doors when not in use. Ramp width mm, length 2500mm, non-slip tread. Easier to use than channel ramps. May be used in conjunction with rear lowering suspension. Weight of occupied wheelchair and strength of attendant must be considered. Should only be considered with front wheel drive models

Internal tail lift

Fully automatic, the electro-hydraulic tail lift stands upright inside the rear doors when not in use. Lifting capacity 300 to 350kgs. Extra large platform available to special order. Internal tail lift may dictate reduced seating capacity. Easy to use.

Under-floor tail lift

Manual deploy or semi-automatic. The electro-hydraulic tail lift stows to the underside at the rear when not in use.

Lifting capacity 300 to 350kgs. Larger platforms available on certain models, to special order. Under-floor tail lift maintains free access to rear doors. Rear ground clearance reduced. The dearest option.

Tail lifts require test / inspection every six months

Where drivers take advantage of the dispensation for volunteers with a GVW up to 3500kgs, the GVW may be increased up to 4250kgs (and the seating capacity may be increased to 17) when wheelchair provision is made
