Since our foundation in 1986 Community Transport organisations have worked with us to develop specifications & acquire custom built minibuses specifically designed for their needs.
The design process we use for all customer types was developed in conjunction with Community Transport Operators. We know that in order for us to provide a comprehensive evaluation service we have to understand what the real issues being faced by CT Groups are and seek to hear first hand from drivers and passengers what they think of their current vehicle and how it might be improved.
Experienced operators with an extensive fleet built over several decades often have a tried and tested specification which they are familiar with and know works for their service. In these instances we are able to provide pricing as and when required, and update the operator in relation to ongoing changes in base vehicles, conversion components and legislation. We can save an organisation thousands of pounds a year by providing up to the minute market intel relating to price increases and technical changes. In addition to the service we provide pre-sale, we also go to great lengths to make sure that customers are supported to ensure their fleets stay safely operational and on the road.
Where a CT operator has one or two vehicles, or has less day to day experience in buying vehicles we are here to provide friendly, helpful support. The process of buying a specialist passenger vehicle can be unwieldy and intimidating because of the myriad of possible variations of vehicle and the multitude of possible suppliers. Add to that questionable practise from a handful of unscrupulous companies, it really can be a minefield.
From initial enquiry to vehicle handover to support in the field, we offer an unparalleled service to deliver complete peace of mind.
Minibus Options’ dedication to the CT Sector was acknowledged when in 2016 it was appointed by the Department for Transport as sole provider of minibuses through the Community Minibus Fund central framework, then again in 2017 appointed by the Community Transport Association as sole provider for the second round of the Community Minibus Fund.
As a fleet buyer of vehicles we are able to negotiate significant discounts with manufacturers which allow us to make a new minibus as affordable as possible. In addition to this we are able to offer leasing options and hire purchase schemes specifically tailored to charity operations.
We invite Community Transport Operators to our unique showroom facility to see first hand the options available and to visit our production facility next door to see dozens of vehicles in various stages of build. This might mean a day out of the office, but we can guarantee that this will be a day well spent. And what’s more, we provide an assistance program for charities whereby we will pay for the cost of one vehicle to make the journey, or for 2 standard return rail fares and we will provide lunch for you and your team.
Visits to our facility are by appointment only so please contact the office to book your preferred day.
