The Governments Road to Zero Strategy is changing Local Authorities approach to vehicle acquisition. Whilst some Fleet Managers have been working towards a greener fleet for some years, the central Government strategy has galvanised the movement towards Hybrid and Zero Emission vehicles.
Working with manufacturers as an Accredited converter Minibus Options is at the forefront in providing specialist passenger vehicles on the cleanest commercial platforms available. Ongoing developments from manufacturers demonstrate a commitment to increasing range and payload at a rate which will see parity with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) powered vehicles in the coming decade.

In addition to tendering via the usual Public Sector procurement process’, we work with Local Authorities to produce vehicle specifications to suit specialist applications. Given the specialist nature of the vehicles we produce, many authorities choose to acquire vehicles directly via recognised purchasing frameworks such as CCS and TPPL.
We can provide assistance in updating tried and tested tender specifications to reflect the most up to date technical and legal standards. In addition to this we regularly assist Fleet Managers in developing new specifications for one off projects and for technically challenging applications.
